New - Sonus faber Duetto active streaming speakers

Sonus faber's Duetto offers Bluetooth and Wi-Fi music-streaming abilities from a pair of the Italian company's trademark Lute-shaped wooden cabinets. Superb sound meets Italian style in a classy new design.

Chief of Design Livio Cucuzza notes:

We think this is a winning design which offers a superb room friendly way into music streaming.

Firstly, the drivers are powered by a pair of onboard amplifiers with a 100W Class A/B amp assigned to the tweeter and a 205W Class D amp for the mid-bass driver.

Direct control is via the Senso touch-sensitive interface on top of the speaker, which is made of leather, Sonus faber being Sonus faber. You can direct set-up, control volume, and switch between inputs and connections through this touch panel or you can also use Sonus faber's app for complete control from your sofa.

Alongside Wi-Fi and Bluetooth aptX HD, wired options include Ethernet, HDMI and optical digital inputs, plus a built-in moving magnet phono input for a turntable (which is also switchable with line-level). Finally, there is also a subwoofer output should you want extra bass extension.

Streaming options includeSpotify, AirPlay, Chromecast &TIDAL as well as being Roon Ready.

Sonus faber's Duetto is available from November finished in Walnut or Graphite wood veneer, priced at £3,490 per pair, with the optional speaker stands costing £649. Please get in touch if you would like to audition these amazing new loudspeakers.
